TEDxAveiro + City 2.0 are more than just an event. It is a movement. It is an attitude towards life. Proactive people of TEDxAveiro want to share, disscus, talk, but also DO because we believe that our city can be more innovative, creative, inclusive, sustainable, civic, human... This is the moment for you to participate and to be a part of the solution. So! Do you accept this challenge? Wanna make a part of this community?
The "horizon" seems so distant and unattainable. We are walking in its direction, but once we are there we cannot find it. It moves faster than us and this is what keeps us walking, searching, wanting and trying to achieve more. This is what makes us go beyond limits and this is what we want to do this year at TEDxAveiro.
We want to dive into a sea of endless ideas and at every moment be able to sustain our breath a little longer. More importantly than that is that whenever we find an idea, we will not fear to in dive once more.
We will fight against our fears and hesitations because they are setting us back.
We will ask questions whose answers will cross over the limits of the obvious, while the walls of our existence. We will endlessly search and never rest. We will have boundless spirit and make of go beyond our horizons, even though, we know we will never touch it. Believe you me, a lot of amazing moments will happen along the way...

Antes do cansaço tomar conta da energia que resta após um TEDx, estamos entranhados de emoções misturadas e de uma alegria contagiante pela vida que nunca mais nos abandona.
Deve ser essa a paixão que nos contagia depois do primeiro TEDx.
Participar num TEDx acrescenta-nos um sentido de VIDA, de PARTILHA, de DESCOBERTA e de RESPONSABILIDADE que alteram o esquemas mentais e visões do mundo.
Saímos de um TEDx com a certeza de que podemos mudar algo nas nossas vidas e nas nossas comunidades. Percebemos que temos a responsabilidade de fazer, de empreender, de melhorar o microcosmo em que vivemos.
E isto é o que o TEDx tem de melhor: as perguntas que nos colocamos, as respostas que não encontramos, mas que sabemos que iremos encontrar.
Mais de 120 pessoas puderam ouvir, no dia 5 de abril, no TEDxAveiroChange, as experiências, as histórias e o apelo à ação de quem investe a vida do dia-a-dia a criar projetos para a saúde e o desenvolvimento global. Jeff Chapin, Theo Sowa, Baaba Maal e Sven Giegold e Melinda Gates foram convidados a pisar o palco do TEDxChange 2012, transmitido em direto de Berlim pelo TEDxAveiro, no Pequeno Auditório de Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Aveiro.
Some years ago we found out that TED and the TEDx world is an extraordinary platform that is going to change our world and the life of every single one of us for the better. We want to share it with all of you. The TEDxAveiro team is made me of creative individuals that think global and act local, they believe that the answer to difficulties comes from the creation of a more united, creative, participative, innovative and active community. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
X = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAveiro, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
